Workshops Hosts Film Fest Panel
ROCKPORT, Maine - The Camden International Film Festival (CIFF ’08) kicks off Thursday, September 25, with two events sponsored by Maine Media Workshops. At 4PM, immediately following a meeting of the board of the Maine Film and Video Association (MFVA), a reception will be held for MFVA members and the public at the theatre in Union Hall (2 Central Street, Rockport).

Rockport College Now Maine Media College
ROCKPORT, Maine – Today Maine Media Workshops announced a change in name for its academic arm, Rockport College. Maine Media College is now the name of the school that shares the Workshops’ campus and facilities and offers professional certificate programs and low-residency MFA degrees in photography, filmmaking, and multimedia.

Maine Media film students grace the cover of Student Filmmakers magazine’s August issue. Workshops alumni and faculty will recognize their shoot location – the campus dining tent!
The industry publication’s Senior Editor, Jody Michelle Solis, contacted the Workshops for Q&A sessions with Film Program Director, Mimi Edmunds, and Film Technical Director, Ted Wachs, on the both the philosophical and technical aspects of our film curriculum.

Caponigros Join Forces In “Two Generations” Exhibition
